MR Truck Driver/Yard Person
What you will do:
With the expansion of our factory in Stuart, we are looking for a truck driver/yard person to support our current truck driver and yard person. The role will cover yard duties and driving the MR truck for customer deliveries with possible overnight stay.
Pay:
$32 – $35 per hour.
Position overview:
- Essential to have a minimum of a Medium Rigid (MR) Licence.
- Essential to have a forklift ticket and have a few years’ experience at an operational level.
- Previous experience picking/packing orders.
- Experience in loading/unloading trucks and tie down procedures.
- Experience in using hand tools.
- Hours of work 38 hours per week. Any hours above 38 hours at standard over time rates.
- Must have the ability to do overnight trips around North Queensland.
- Must be customer focused.
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test prior to commencement and random testing.
- Must be able to follow direction.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Be physically fit and healthy.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to follow defined Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Be able to work within team environments to achieve business objectives.
Yard Person
What you will do:
As a Yard Person, you will be the backbone of our yard operations. You will manage and maintain the Gough Plastics yard and manage all goods inwards and outwards in line with the business requirements.
Qualifications required:
Forklift (LF) licence essential.
LR/MR driver licence not essential but will be an advantage.
Factory Operators

Factory Operators – Casual and Permanent Full Time
What you will do:
Be part of a manufacturing team involved in the manufacturing of plastic products such as water storage tanks, cattle troughs, and a variety of other products.

- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test prior to commencement and ongoing random testing
- Forklift ticket (LF) is desirable
- Must be physically fit
- Have prior hand and power tool experience
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, have drivers licence and be able to commute to and from work independently
- Must be able to follow direction
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to follow defined Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Be able to work within team environments to achieve business objectives

Casual LR/MR Truck Driver 1 to 3 days/week
What you will do:
Due to expansion of our business at 40 Penelope Road, Stuart, Townsville we require an additional Truck driver to support our current increase in deliveries in the North Queensland area. Timings to be discussed agreed at time of interview/offer of employment. Some deliveries might require overtime to be worked.
Pay:
$32 – $35 per hour + 25% Casual allowance

- Essential to have a minimum of a Light Rigid (LR) Licence, Medium Rigid (MR) preferred
- Essential to have a forklift ticket and have a few years’ experience at an operational level
- Previous experience picking/packing orders
- Experience in loading/unloading trucks and tie down procedures

- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test prior to commencement and random testing

- Must be physically fit.
- Must have prior hand and power tool experience.
- Must have ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
Qualifications required:
- Drivers licence
- Forklift (LF) licence-desirable
Apprentice Boilermaker or Boilermaker (38 hours/week)
What you will do:
- General fabrication including road trailers (water tankers) supporting frames.
- Structural welding (e.g. mould fames, lifting points)
- Mould maintenance including rust prevention, spray painting and panel beating.
Qualifications required:
- Second/third year apprentice or qualified boilermaker.
- Driver’s licence.
